Upcoming Championship or Other Big Matches?

I am putting together a list of Louisiana matches for our upcoming LSA newsletter. If you know of a big match that is going to be held this fall, let me know the name of the match (type of shooting), the date and location, the sponsor and a contact for more information. I will include it on the list.

I am going to limit it to Louisiana events. I know of 4 or 5 highpower and bullseye pistol championships in TX in October. If I start including the TX matches where would I stop? This is to get people out to the nearby matches. Those of you who are going tot the Area 4 match are deep into your sport and know about it already. Kind of like the nationals at camp perry.

IHMSA Silhouette

Ascension Silhouette will be hosting the 2009 Louisiana State Championship Match for Smallbore & Field Pistol. The location is the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office Range located across the street from the Lamar Dixon Center in Gonzales. This will be a two day match starting October 3rd at 9:00am and continuing on October the 4th same time. This will be a 40 shot course of fire for each entry and category. Look at all of the shooting that is coming up, most of which is within 1 hour of New Orleans and Baton Rouge. There are 9 championship matches in two months in a bunch of different disciplines. There is something for everyone. Just get out and shoot.
