This older guy at work keeps telling me he has some US MIL Surplus x51 that is packed in 300 round tins. Does anyone know what this might be or is he just talking out of his ass?

He keeps saying he is going to bring it to work to show; but hasn't yet.

    Thanks

"The cans were sealed with those soldered wire-ties. The cans are all marked the same:

Inside each can is 7 boxes of 40 and 1 box of 20. All are sealed and marked the same:

Thanks for the info, The can looked like it would take a can opener to open.
I will try to get a pic of it next week.

Next question is what should I offer to pay for it. He has four cans and appears to be wanting to move it?

Thats it; but I thought it read 1960.

Thats Norinco, copper washed, steel cased + jacketed, magnet attracting ammo. The Tin(s) in the ad I got the picture from were priced at $120, but also said it was being sold as "slightly" corrosive ammo.
Depending on what he will take for them, I may be interested in one, just for the heck of it. I'll post more info this evening, I'll find the exact page I got that picture from on my work comp.
