    Meh, depends on how you approach them.

    I shoot USPSA (when I can) with my carry gear. Same belt I wear all the time, IWB holster, same gun, etc. The only thing I do is add mag holders to the waistband to comply with rules. You can practice essential things.

    No it's not a full on simulation for a real world gun fight but I don't think anyone is professing it to be.

    To top that off, it's a sporting pursuit-- don't the libtards say that's the only reason we should have guns at all?

    So accordingly, I'm allowed to own guns and use them in competition, so long as I'm not any good with them... (Hyperbole of course-- don't freakin' shoot people unless you're absolutely terrified for your own life, and need to stop the threat.)
