guns and mechanical watches are pretty much the only machines left that don't need electricity, and never will.
But are still just as useful as when invented, that's just cool.

My Grandfather had a saying that comes to mind here, "Smart as a fart!" I don't think he would be very keen on such a gimmicky way to ruin a handgun.
A cardinal rule of firearms technology is if LE rejects it, then civilians should follow suit.
