Thank you all for the responses, I feel even more certain now. Once I get some problems straightened out with my DL, I'm in.

I have had a lot of different jobs, mostly driving jobs, but nothing ever satisfies. I always start to get bored around the one year mark and switch to a new job. I think that police work might just be the thing that could keep me on my toes enough and interested enough for me to make a long career of it.
