NopeDoes anyone believe there will ever be a total gun ban, partial ban (AR's, high cap mags)?
The evil flash suppressor!Nope
I don't believe that will happen here in Louisiana
We all know that CA has done that
I remember when I bought my AR15 in 2002 there was a partial ban on the collapseical stocks and the bayonet lug. I think there was something else but I don't remember

Kingfshb,
I am afraid you are falling into the gun grabber's trap. Today they want expanded background checks, which won't accomplish anything, since most recent active killers are passing background checks or stealing their firearms from family members. Then when expanded background checks don't work to stop the next nut, they will want MSR's banned, then normal capacity magazines, then shooter will go back to Glocks (ala VA Tech) and they will want to ban all semi-auto, then you might be left with a bolt action hunting rifle, which inevitablythey will go after, then you will be back to the musket of 1775.
What do they mean "expanded background checks". Everyone has to go throough a federal information system to purchase a firearm unless they buy through private sales.

Probably more mandatory mental health reporting or expanded mental health records checks. The checks on the LE side are already pretty comprehensive.

They want to expand them to private sales also.
