I have a Rossi rifle, 7.62x39. I have read Wolf ammo ( I have some) might misfire in the Rossi. I have read that American made ammo will work just fine but I can't afford the $12.95 box for American Eagle brand at Academy. Any ideas? Appreciate your leads.

You wont find cheap American made x39 in brass, or steel. $12.95 will be standard or cheap, especially for a hunting load.

    +1

    ammoman.com has 1000rds for $500 delivered, that's about $10/box, so a little savings

buy a $5 box of wolf/monarch/silver bear/golden tiger and see if it works first before paying 3x as much for US manufacture ammo.

If you want to reload for it (from another post), then buy brass case boxer primed.
Winchester White Box at Walmart. Probably just as much though.
Or you can try the Wolf. Why won't it work. Primer too hard?

From blogs I have read is that Wolf primers are hard and the Rossi will misfire about 10% of them but will fire when struck for the 2nd time. Wolf is the only brand that does this.
    From what I have read.

I shot wolf steel case in my AR, never again. On the other hand, Monarch laquered works just fine.
