There's this little shack/snowball stand at the where Labeau/St Claude/St Bernard hwy intersect in Arabi. When we pass by we're guaranteed to stop. They have all kinds including the occasional gator. Nom!

If anyone can find the original Manuel's hot tamale recipe (good luck with that; I tried), you could try to imitate the greatest tasting original New Orleans tamale ever made.

I can still vividly remember the taste distinctively!

How someone in his family doesn't have that original recipe on line in his honor, I will never understand?!?
