Which rings for AR-15

I have a DPMS flat top upper on the way, with a 16" heavy stainlees steel barrel. What ring height will I need to mount a scope with a 40mm objective, and be comforable on the stock ?

you can use low rings if you have a flip front sight, otherwise probably high just so the front sight post doesn't appear in your scope view.
