Wood Stock to ACE sidefolder on a Rommy G?

I'm toying with the idea of trying to change the stock on my Rommy G to a sidefolder... I am curious of how big a job would this be? Would the rivets need to be replaced? Suggestions are welcome...

Cheapest/easiest/best option IMO is to just go with the Romy wire folder. I didn't like them at first, but it really grew on me. They are a direct bolt-in replacement, correct for the rifle and no hacking required.

I believe you would need to cut the tang off the rear trunnion (Dremel) and then use an internal receiver block.

You can also go with an AR adapter and put any AR stock you want on it.

I considered going with the traditional side folder, but I really want it to fold to the left. Also, the wire sidefolder looks like it has to be uncomfortable to shoot for any length of time. With all of that said, is tempting, but I want to see what I can do otherwise before going that route.

I figured I would have to to some cutting and adding of parts...
Now that you'be been kind enough to explain the basics, would this work?
