how can you tell a rifle is zeroed for 750yds just by looking at it?

Can you tell by looking at a scope it is zeroed for 750yds? I've only used my scope a handful of times, prefer iron sights, so I don't really know much about scopes zeroed for that distance.

I would guess NO, you cant look at a scope and tell what it is 0ed for!

I guess you could put a bore sighter on it and figure out how high it was shooting.

The arrested man stated the rifle was sighted in at 750 yards. And bore sighting "gets you on the paper" at 100 yards. It will not do much for you at 750 yards.

I would imagine you can see how high you would be hitting at 100yds and do the math to figure it out after that with an expensive bore sighter
