If I get a speeding ticket how do I go about writting a letter to the DA to keep it off my record. How should it be presented and what should it talk about. Will I need to show up for court afterwards? or should I just pay and pray? I got caught fair and square so I don't plan on fighting the ticket. I just want to keep from getting points added

call the court house and see if you can meet with the DA and have it changed to a non moving violation.......... thats what I have done in the past.

ha ive written probably 15 of these letters,,theres nothing to it

write the D.A. tell them what you got the ticket for (send a copy),,dont cry or make excusses,,,let them know you dont have a problem with paying fines or court cost but it would be really helpful to keep it off your driving record so you can still afford ins. on your car and go to school/work what ever it is that makes you a productive member of society,,,they will send you a letter about not going to court because your case is under review and probably drop it to no seatbelt,,,,,they did for me for the frist few, then i started paying the fines and court cost,,,but no bonus for my insurence
