I've found only 2 or so websites that sell them, and they want $38 a piece for the 30 rd! Anyone have 20 or 30 rounders for less?

I have a Saiga stock 10 rounder I'll sell you if you're interested. Looks like 10 rounders are selling around $25 to $30. Hows $15 sound?

Im afraid so but you could sell them. When converted to AK mags you can get cheaper and higher cap also.Plys I like a steel mag verses a plastic US made one or even the import ones.I wish I could find a 308 mag thin enough to fit in the 308 saiga.

How's the install? how about smooth feeding afterwards? I dont want to chance hang-ups for cheaper mags.....Although they are MUCH cheaper...your suggestion interests me

This might be of some value to people wishing to convert their Saiga. IDK if these prices are still good. I basically found this post I made on another message board from July of 2008 and copy/paste here.

You may not like the plastic furniture, but hopefully this will give you a better idea of what work and parts is involved.

Here's all the parts I used.

$25 Round Trunion Kit Bullet Guide http://www.dinzagarms.com/saiga_762x39/x39rtk.html

$79 Bolt On Lower Handguard Retainer http://www.dinzagarms.com/saiga_762x39/akbor1.html

$9 Pistol Grip Nut and Screw http://www.dinzagarms.com/misc_parts/akpgns.html

    $1 for 6 Nylon Hole Plugs http://www.dinzagarms.com/misc_parts/aknyhp.html

    $15 AK Retaining Plate http://www.dinzagarms.com/misc_parts/akretp.html

    $40 3 30 rd AK Mags http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/cb.aspx?a=282538

$100 TAPCO FUSION AK T6 Stock Rifle System http://www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?...c4-0e56d97015c8

    $32 AK G2 Trigger Groups http://www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?...60-894e018c8330

~$3 for small screws at home depot used to secure trigger guard to receiver

So the conversion parts cost me right around $300. The rife itself cost me $265 but looks like the price went up http://www.classicarms.us/

Looks like they have already converted Saiga's for $550.

You can also find Saiga conversion videos on youtube to see if this is something you'd like to do.

    Hope this helps
    -Scott
