I'm always trying to learn more about the 91/30 series so maybe you can school me. How can you tell this is an ex-sniper? I thought they always had turned down/bent bolts to clear the scope. And aren't those black plugs on all of the rifles (i.e. these pics). Here's an example of what I thought a sniper should look like on this page. Are you an FFL holder? If not I think you can ship to anyone within the state, C&R holder or not (long guns, not handguns). Someone speak up if I'm wrong on that but I'm pretty sure it's correct.

The CN above the Tula star is the sniper tested or accuracy mark. You can't see the plugs in the pictures b/c they have been grinded down smooth with the receiver. You can tell the location of them in the pictures if you look hard enough. Also, the rifle would have been reblued during the refurb process of the cold war era. That's also when it would have got the straight bolt. If you go over to gunboards.com you can learn alot about these ex-snipers.

Okay, I'm not familiar with them either, though I have heard of the history of the Mosin Nagant rifles. I'm wondering, have you shot it and checked the accuracy? It's hard to tell if the rifling is still decent in that muzzle picture. I'm in Hammond, not far from you.
