Pretty sure I remember us making bombing raids to help the peace loving Muslims in Libya overthrow their fruitcake tinpot despot and bring democracy to the world. Now they have new tinpot murderous leaders and our work is done.

    Well done, Barak, well done.

The words of a song come to mind: "When will we ever learn, when will we learn."

Don't think this application is what the writer had in mind. But screw him, too.

These goblins certainly don't sound like the 'enthusiastic young Muslims flush with optimism spreading change through social media' that our very own news media was beaming over during the so-called "Arab Spring" last year, do they???

The Muslim Brotherhood (or "Bros"- since they're basically a f-ing gang) are not our friends. I'm not sure how many more heavy-handed "suggestions" we need to understand that.:dunno:

    Outrageous.

    Sad day for our country.

I hate to say it- but is this really a surprise? Many out there warned it was a dangerous game taking the side of these people, and now, here we are....

As bad as some perceived the previous regimes in Libya & Egypt to be, there was serious doubt as to who exactly was lining up to take their place. I'm afraid we are starting to find out part of the reason why they ruled with an iron fist....

Just my opinion, and nothing more. :dunno:

Ever report I've read said that the non-whackos were bringing the ambassador to the hospital. It's cute the way the Pundit twisted it though.

Yea I've read that now too but it's not like we’re looking at something we haven't seen before.

A dead American being dragged though the streets after being killed by some form or Islamic radicalism or whatever you want to call it.

Plus the pictures seem to show just that. I mean it sure doesn't suggest that they look like they know what they are doing or that they are ALL trying to help. Why not ALL pick him up and carry him?

So I can see why the pictures really don't do much justice as to what was really going on.

Radical Islam is an ideology. You can not kill fanatics faster than the Jihadis can create them. All you will succeed in doing is driving the moderate majority farther towards the extreme. These are all consequences that we knew up front were going to come
    Part and parcel with regime
    Change.

These are the facts. Islam declared war on Jews and Christians. Islam is a non tolerant religion based on a false profit and an idol god. Islam offers no sanctity for life. The same Koran is written for all Muslims.
Our President ran on a platform of "fundemental change for America" that the citizenship bought into because they failed to study the issues. We got exactly what we voted for ( I refer of course only to the majority of the electorate who voted for this guy in ignorance).
Politicians on both sides of the isle are equally at fault. Remember how loudly the right (Boehner, McCain, and Graham) condemed Michelle Bachmann for having the audacity to question Islamic influence in the US State Department and White house. Apparently it's not politically correct to point out the fact that Islam is the enemy regardless of how intolerant that observation seems. Maybe she was wrong in her assersion, but she was elected to question the very nature of such things. In that light she did her job!
And now some are astonished because these people storm our embassies and kill more of our citizens! Now we want to appologize because someone made a film denegrading their profit! And we want to appologize to the on the very day we honor the over 3,000 people they killed on 9/11!!!!
I suppose we will now here that we are at fault for being occupiers. Some will call for the total removal of our troops from the world so we can protect our borders. Maybe if we stop attacking their religion and stiffle free speech to all those who have an oppinion, maybe if we remove our troops and embacies from the middle east and completely throw Israel under the bus, maybe if we continue to allow them into our universities, maybe if we follow Shariah then they will be our freinds and we can all live in harmony.
Or perhaps we could come together as a nation, take our governmet back, enforce the Constitution and live under the principles of the Declaration and become the strongest, most feared and most trusted nation on the planet and fight wars with purpose and resolve so wouldn't be in this predicament in the first damned place.
The entire federal government is broken. Our enemies see it, our few remaining allies see it, why the hell don't we. Other than the ramblings of politicians with tough spounding words and "strong" condemnations, I doubt we will see any action taken.
If we stood by our principles, faught wars to victory and defended our allies we wouldn't need the marines to guard our people in this country or abroad because the world would know the consequences of their actions against us.
But alas, I fear we have few leaders that will take up the cause of the Republic. And we seem to have fewer citizens to fight for their freedoms.
In my experience, most people can tell you more about the local football team than they can about who represents them in government.
Oh well, these are the ramblings of an angry American who believes in liberty and Capitalism and I shall be damned if I will willingly cede to the political correctness of an uneducated public. May GOD bless America and the Patriots who defend her.

Believe it or not if you give them some time, some resources, and in some cases security they will seperate themselves. Herat Afghanistan is a great example. Kirkuk in Iraq. Morocco. People that feel like they aren't trapped and see prosperity become less interested in Jihad. It's kinda why being Amish never
    Really caught on.

As an exercise in American History research The Puritans. Most of the early institutuions in this country were founded by what was basically a Protestant Taliban. It didn't last long for two reasons; education, ad prosperity.

Is it even possible to win their hearts & minds? Granted I'm not a historian, but I can't recall anyone pulling that one off.

Putting a man on The Sun might be easier- and would probably have the same results, anyway. :dunno:

Yes it's done on the local level all the time. It
Takes time, patience, and persistence. Americans are a Pill Culture we don't like long term fixes. We want to
Swallow a magic pill and problem solved.
