And some of you still believe in the system in its current state. But hey, vote for Ron Paul and get obama, vote for maness or don't vote and get Landreu again, it doesn't really matter. The ship is sinking. Viva la Mexico!

I'm not the one butt hurt and saying I'm not going to vote for Cassidy because maness didn't get into the run off. Giving up, no.... Making the best of a shitty situation, yes; but like you said "they will never get it". But, hey, at least we got our principles to stand on, right. Too bad they're on top of a rotting platform.

Honestly though it truly doesn't matter. Executive amnesty is coming. If it happens on the scale and scope that it seem that will be the coup de grace of the country that once was.

The only ones butt hurt is the ones blaming the Maness voters for Cassidy loosing! I was 100% for voting for Cassidy in Dec until I see the butt hurt Cassidy voters blaming the Maness voters for the Wolfs lost!

Cassidy is not going to lose anything. Us Maness voters can now vote for him in December. Let's just be happy that Mary is going to finally get run out on a rail!
Since when do the voters get everything they want? We can at least get something that we want. With Mary, we got nothing but crap and a little pork(part of the problem.)

I'm still awaiting the explanation of maness' many virtues.

Change versus more of the same

    Deja vu circa 2008.

I'm not a cassidy supporter btw, though I would be happy to have another physician in office. Just put off by the seemingly blind support for someone

He entered the Air Force as an Airman(E1.) Before he finished his 32 year Air Force career, he flew wartime missions as a B-1 pilot and was a Base Commander. He has an MBA from Harvard as well. That says a lot in my view. Most of the officers I served under were good men with very high integrity. Maness has always been that kind of person.

Why do I need to sell you on Maness? Selling him is pointless at this time he is out!

The Cassidy folks need to start selling Cassidy and stop harping on the Maness voters.

It should be pretty obvious what made Cassidy better. HE CAN WIN AND YOUR GUY HAD NO CHANCE IN HELL. Other than that I liked the other guy a lot.

So my guy had no chance in hell to hurt your guy.

And who will you blame if Mary beats your guy in Dec?

Most of my company grade officers were frat boys with attitudes that thought cause the had a degree they were special or important. The field grades you only saw for njp or Bn forced fun. Only officers I ever had of the quality u speak of were in recon or mustangs. Ran into a few pilots that weren't completely full of themselves too, but they were JTACs with us.

So is it integrity that makes a good legislator? He has impressive achievements, but I'm not sure how they'd translate. He said very little of substance in the first debate (the one I watched) policy wise. Just some intangibles. I would think (but may be mistaken, as we all come from different points of view) that being a physician and educator would provide a similar value. Directly related to legislatlation, a military background and healthcare background both have their own merits. On the flip side, you could have an Obama with the Harvard constitutional law and civil rights background, theoretically near ideal for having a hand in drafting legislation. All of this prima facie only, obviously every individual is different

You're not selling me on anything, I'm just curious and asking you to explain what made you an ardent supporter of maness. I think cassidy supporters have a fairly strong argument made that the alternative is landrieu

My plan was clear. In the run off I was going vote Cassidy. Seeing the Cassidy voters cry about the Maness voters got me thinking about staying home. Seeing that post above this talk about how great his guy is over my guy makes me wanna go vote for Mary and donate a couple hundred to her.

Like a few said it doesn't matter who wins. The GOP guys have a strange way of gaining votes. Cassidy had my vote until I've started reading this post.

ETA: It's not what Maness did for me. It's more what Mary Cassidy didn't do for me.

    Bless your heart.

Btw, I'm not sure how your reading comprehension is, but I haven't advocated for cassidy over maness anywhere. I'm only asking the Maness supporters about their attraction to him because they're far more committed to him than cassidy supporters are to cassidy. The Cassidy group just seems to be pragmatists hoping to oust landrieu.

Perhaps I was lucky, but I was given a fair shake by 99.9% of the officers I served under. I worked my ass off and my superiors usually had my back. The S-3 officer(a Captain) in one of my units tried to give me an Article 15. The CO knew better. He told him no and sent the Captain back to give me an apology. The only one I would get from an officer.

    No not really.
And most would be surprised by who I really voted for the 1st time.

I just hate seeing others getting judged for their choice.
