There's quite a few pushing back, which will only gather steam going forward. And the AG's "final rule" has not been added/posted to the Federal Registry yet to date. Which I find rather strange at this point. Another reason I believe this is all a Trojan Horse scheme to collect braced pistol owner data: names, SNs, physical addresses, admission you own a braced pistol which should be NFA listed as an SBR.

Think about this, gun owners are applying for a free stamp or stamps, and supplying their info to the ATF yet the "AG's final rule" is not in effect yet. Not until its published in the Fed Registry. LOL.

Have they started accepting "no fee" applications? I have 2 or 3 I've wanted to SBR anyway. May as well do it for free. Or I can wait until the atf is abolished and I won't have to worry about forms.

Yes they have. I have not personally but members on our F1 forum have. One guy filed for 6 already, or that is what he posted today. And there is very little (if any) BS posted on our F1 forum.

Keep in mind the 120 day window does not begin until the AG final rule is officially posted to the Federal Registry.

Thermal and NV will be on the chopping block soon. Smoke poles will be all that’s left…lead and powder will be banned too so..if ounces equals pounds then remember inches equals miles.

go ahead and get you a free one... give them all the info they need and all the proof they need and you signing paper work saying according to there rule you agree you have possession of illegal sbr and you want to register it lol, you have to provide proof that you have what they are calling an sbr, pics, prints, application, signed docs , with previous form1's you were requesting to build one, and there was always questions, "can i have a stock in my possession while i have a pistol and waiting on approval ect"... if your app goes 88days, denied, rejected atf stated they will take enforcement action to the person who applies, they have all the info they need along with your signed confession that you agreed you illegally have an sbr in your possession

And remember after the 88 days if its denied or processed out, they even have a picture of the rifle you sent them to show you own it, for when they come to collect it.

right you did all the work for them, and lets not forget about they have in the neighborhood of 30million thats 30,000,000 braces that would need to go through the process in that amount of time

Just watched that tonight and was gonna post it. FBI no longer does the NICS background checks fit the ATF….
I’m reminded of the old parable with the old woman and the snake. You guys can keep playing with the snake if you want. It ain’t worth it to me.

Busy turning these out for a backup plan…

It isn't as much of a rule as it is a clarification and expansion on the definition of what a rifle is, the law regarding having barrels on a rifle shorter than 18" then later 16" was established long ago. This final ruling will stand and whatever you want to do with that is up to you. My opinions don't matter, your opinions don't matter, I'm sure we would all abolish the atf and nfa if we could, but the small group of people who's opinions do matter have made their decision.
So what about AR pistols then?

    here
I read all of the paperwork. If the ruling stands then you have the option to register it, remove the brace, put on a 16” barrel, turn the gun into atf or destroy it. Does anyone think the atf doesn’t know who bought ar pistols, cz scorpions or anything else with a brace? It’s not like you’re invisible to them. Several members on here know first hand how fast they can track down a firearm to your house.

I'm gonna take this opportunity to make it known publicly, that I've recently ran into a little financial trouble and was forced to sell all my firearms, so for all you letter ladies, yes you Katie, and Letter Boys on this site, don't waste your time. You'll be met with a horrible attitude to begin with, and wasted time on your part.
