That’s the second time you said that. Are you really just figuring out that some folks are going to carry a firearm regardless of the laws in place?

Yea I too would be willing to bet some people here carry a firearm to bars, schools, parades, and so on. I bet some members also have blue trucks and others have red cars….
And like I stated a couple months ago here to you, I know you are special. So I'm gonna cut you some special latitude.

@thperez1972 Ok, I get it, it is not a violation of LA law. But it is outlined in the LSP Handbook, which is written and supplied to give the CHP holder an outline of what is responsible behavior. And we can clearly see that several CHP holders here on BS do as they please. Their interpretation of right and wrong, and what is permissible, and what they feel they can get away with. I guarantee a few here on BS with a CHP CC wherever, even in the banned places like bars, polling places, schools, parades, ect.

The rules come from the Louisiana Administrative Code. I quoted that code in my previous post. I couldn't find it in their either. I could find no mention of any civil penalties, criminal penalties, or reason to revoke a chp for having a concealed weapon in a business that prohibits or restricts weapon.

It's not on the Laws, Rules, and Duties page of the website, including Subsection C of R.S. 40:1379.3 as mentioned in the last paragraph.

It's not on the FAQ page.

It's not on the list of prohibited locations.

It's not an option on the Suspension/Revocation Affidavit DPSSP 4646 (Law Enforcement Use Only).

Please look through the laws and codes and let me know where I missed it. Please quote where anyone or any document indicates someone with a LA CHP will have any sort of consequences for carrying a concealed handgun in a business that is not a prohibited location that prohibits weapons.

**Several CHP holders on here follow the law**

Choosing to ignore signs at a place like Whole Foods is much different than choosing to illegally carry a concealed firearm.

Most banks have signs on their doors stating "remove hats, hoods, and sunglasses before entering." If I'm wearing a hat, I don't take it off when entering a bank unless explicitly asked to by a staff member (which has never happened). Last week I went to a Rolex store and they had the same sign on the door. I was wearing a hat. The staff and their police officer didn't care about my hat.

Again, right and wrong aren't the question at hand. Legal vs illegal is the discussion.

Carrying at a prohibited place is illegal. I guarantee many do it, and that's totally their prerogative. Many also speed and don't stop fully at stoplights.

Wait John…. You’re calling me special? lol that’s comical man. Don’t get your feelings hurt because I pointed out how naive you were being. I was just pointing out everything you were questioning is pretty obvious.

Just to bring this thread full circle, my wife wanted to go to NOLA today for the parades. I have confirmed that its still trash, but she grew up with them so she had fun and I had fun watching her have fun. Some laws may have been broken (concealed being concealed, after all), but honestly I couldn't have carried enough to feel safe. Sometimes you just have to make the wife happy, be as as safe as you can and dance among trash.

St. Charles, about 8 blocks from the Interstate (US90). We parked under the interstate (great idea!) and walked. I felt like I stood out just a bit. White guy in a purple sweater asking his wife why we didn't park on the other end:awais: No one likely noticed me or cared. ... Zulu/Rex/Junk for a while.

    Multiple.

They also made it very clear that I couldn't have one even if I had two pockets full of hundreds. They gave me their canned speech about building a relationship and blah blah blah.

I bought an Omega and needed it sized. Nice people there, but man did they have sticks up their butts about their precious Rolexes.

    Yea, . . . Did they have a 'Pepsi' ? I've a buddy in N.J. looking for a Pepsi Rolex.
    Ha, I wish!

They had a "Hulk" and also one of the (absolutely gorgeous) blue datejusts. I tried on a Yachtmaster I and it was beautiful.

I have a friend who is a watchmaker. he says that he used to buy almost any watch guts for $10. He said Rolex guts were $20! :dogkeke:
You're just paying for the fancy case.
    Eh, that's not really accurate.

Rolex makes their own parts and uses their own metals inside and out.
