I would definitely buy a electric vehicle if the charging stations were more wide spread. I drive in some remote country areas on a regular basis and I never see charging stations around when I need gas. Two years ago we towed a camper from Louisiana to Colorado. We drove through remote areas...
No power grid also means no re-fueling gas powered cars. Gas pumps require electricity just like EV charging stations require electricity. And I live in Louisiana where we frequently get hit by hurricanes and NO gas stations have back up generators. When the power goes out you cannot buy gas...
That is not accurate. I live in Baton Rouge and I do not know of any gas stations that have back up generators. and many have been built around me since Katrina.
I live in Louisiana and have been through many hurricanes. Absolutely NONE of the gas stations around have generators for backup power. When the power goes out, nobody can buy gas.
I have always worn double hearing protection while shooting at indoor ranges. I use silicone ear plugs then ear muffs. I was shooting my AR-10 at the Precision Firearms range and that sucker was sure loud, even with double hearing protection.
I am a veteran and I have had my conceal carry permit for about 10 year now. I can tell you that veterans definitely did NOT get our permits for free. I had to pay for every bit of the permit just like everyone else. I paid $500 for a lifetime permit and then I had to still take a refresher...
I just e-mailed the Louisiana State Police and they replied saying that it is correct. Veterans will no longer have to get a CHP permit. They sent the following document to me.
That is really horrible if it was an AR10. It is a large caliber and I am sure causes really severe damage. I have an AR10 and I cannot fathom doing what this guy did.
They guy definitely looks like he is a bit mentally disturbed. Does anyone know what weapon he used in the shooting? I have just seen reports of a rifle, nothing specific.
