    I used Great stuff foam to fill the forestock of my 700 with #4 shot to add weight. Worked beautifully. I wasn't thinking about moisture. I have been told to seal it with Jb weld or something so moisture wouldn't accumulate in there. What say you guys?

    The last injection molded stock I did, I mixed epoxy with birdshot and put it in the stock, put three layers of masking tape on the barrell,sprayed the masking tape with release agent, and set the action in the stock and tightened the screws.
    I have also epoxyed steel rods into forends if I needed to stiffen them up too.
