This Saturday I went to the Tallow Creek Range with my Dad and Brother. We had a blast. The guns we brought with us to the range were the AMD65, XDm9, PF9, Winchester 38 special, and the Ruger MK II. Of course out of all of them the most memorable shooting was with the AMD65. This gun is just too fun to shoot. As soon as a clip is emptied you can't fill another one fast enough. We shot targets between 30-50 yards and it was surprisingly very accurate.

Having said all that, Tallow Creek is terrible. Not only is the range seriously run down but the range master was incredibly rude. We only went there because its only 8mins away from my brothers house, but I think next time we will just go to Nicks or travel to our property in Venice, LA to shoot the AMD.

Anyway here is the VID of my dad shooting the AMD:

yeah tallow creek is a terrible range, everyone there just looks like they hate you. I use to go there often because of how close they were but once they started their no fmj policy I said great now I never have to come here again. I go to honey island now which is sooo much nicer.

Looks like y'all had fun! Or your dad did anyway.

Yeah, public outdoor ranges are not the best places to go unless you have the whole range to yourself and there is nice range officer out there that pretty much leaves you alone.
The two I've been to in Houston I didn't care for, too many people out there, too many rules and regulations whether rational under the circumstances or not. Too many wanna be drill sergent range officers. Too many people.
I went to one up in Bastrop, Louisiana that was good because you were usually the only one out there and there was just one range officer who pretty much just took your $4 and left you alone, except to come make friendly conversation. But I'm told they shut that one down.
NOW, I have my own land and just step out the back door and shoot whatever I want when I want.
