Went and checked out their range on Monday. Very nice set up and well managed. Definitely worth a trip to try it out.

Just an FYI, Apocalypse Sports originator is Josh Burns. He was in the Navy and is a retired SEAL. I have been doing business with Apocalypse for about 4 or 5 years now, mostly I order a firearm on line and ship it to Apocalypse for the transfer. Josh and his crew are awesome, imo! Friendly and knowledgeable. Light years better than Interstate Guns in Hammond. Emily calls me when my firearm arrives that morning, and I go pick it up. I just cannot say enough good things about their crew. The sign right on the front door of their former much smaller store on E Oak St stated "If you smell like weed, do not come in". LOL, I'd chuckle every time I read the sign. Now they sell Class III items so they are a one stop shop now. They have it all.

40147 Interstate 55 Service Rd, Ponchatoula, LA 70454 -- That is on the west side of I-55, just north off of Hwy 22.

But isnt the Manager of Interstate the Manager of Apocalypse now ?
Interesting they do same day receipt/disposal of transfers. Thats not common. Maybe its for you specifically. I know most shops wont do this because of the utter annoyance of the customers sitting in the parking lot waiting, or tracking FedEx, and calling as soon as its delivered with "I see my firearm is delivered, I want it now." Gun shops despise this.

The weed sign was epic. I know I do the same. I have only asked one customer to leave in four years for this.

Academy sports should start posting signs like that. Every time I go to academy and browse the gun section it’s an overwhelming smell of pot. I can’t stand it and I know if I can smell it just walking by the guys behind the counter can smell it as well.

I don't know if their manager is a former Interstate employee, I sure hope not. Maybe it is and he is reformed. Emily is the one who has called me for the last few years, same day my pistol arrives at Apocalypse and typically calls me in the afternoon, around 1500. I have met Emily face to face at their store few years back. Met Josh Burns too. UPS arrives at their former store location on Oak St early in the morning. I do know I had a pistol sit at Interstate for 3 full days and they still had not called me. It was Tyler I believe was who used to call me from Interstate, do their check/log ins. After that last debacle there, I told them they'd never see me in there again. Tyler used to call me the next day after my firearm arrived (24 hours). That last one went 3 full days and I went into Interstate, asked for the manager on duty, and asked him "what is it going to take for me to get my pistol on transfer?" I was pissed! They didn't charge me for that transfer, nothing. Never have sent another firearm there, never will either. Now that Apocalypse sells Class III, all the better. F*ck Interstate Guns, I hope they close up! And Interstate is like < 2 miles from my house, very convenient. Read their on line reviews on google, I wasn't their only disgruntled customer, not by a long shot!

I know your pain, but from the FFL side its acceptable. You have no idea the ridiculous $hit people demand or expect royal treatment because they sent a gun, they got a deal on, to a shop that sells the same gun and expect them to drop everything and unbox it, confirm serials, add to bound book, and then invoice.

A buddy of mine does transfers for $40 bucks and $65 if he has the gun in stock. If I did transfers I would do the exact same. This is business. To keep the local business, with the FFL to do the transfer, alive it doesn't help when they go to ghetto Palmetto and save $20 bucks (which they lose on shipping) and then send it to a local FFL that has the same gun in stock and needs to sell it to pay his bills. Then demand they transfer the gun the hour it arrives.

This isnt Burger King. If they dont like it, go to the kitchen table FFL who will screw it up anyway.
