Actually, I would have bought a giant pile (bigger than my current modest pile) of mags to sell. I've already sold all I'm comfortable giving up. Now I'm having trouble making myself keep my stash of Wolf 223 as I see the auction prices go crazy.

If you're looking at firearms: AKs, SKSs, and Mosin-Nagants. Mosins are still a steal right now. I expect them to quadruple in price in 10 years.

Or if you have a place to store it, I would try to snatch up some bulk ammo. If you can buy a large enough quantity you will already be ahead, and rounds are getting more expensive every day.

ARs are to popular to see an increase in value. Your only real investment grade guns are the old Colts and Older guns that have collecter value. But if you drop 3k on your dream tactical AR you just wont get your money back, its that simple.

I paid $ 1,250.00 early September 2012 (also, sales tax free day)
See prices are at least double.
Will just hold on to and if prices go completely insane, I would sell.
If not, will just keep it.

Current ar15 prices are inflated due to intense demand secondary to a threat of an assault rifle ban. If there is no law passed, the market will correct itself and prices will crash. If a ban is passed, then the prices will skyrocket. It's a risky game right now if you are buying to invest. But I guess all investments carry some form of risk.

Yes, true to all. Again, didn't buy to flip for quick profit. Just wanted one before the November election.

What has me very concerned is what will ammo prices be in the near future.

A straight cut receiver mak 90 is definatly a rare bird, that can in SOME instances be more valuable than a slant cut. Although a handy guy can turn a slant cut receiver Mak 90 into a pretty sweet shooter.
