ATF holding Form3's?

I was told by one of my dealers that the ATF is holding Form 3's for LA till August 1st, when the new law that doesn't require State paperwork goes into effect. Anyone else heard the same?

I spoke to the LA examiner a few weeks ago and she spoke with her branch manager. They said that we could send in forms with a print out of the LA law that passed before the new law goes into effect and they would process them. It wouldn't be that they are holding them specifically but that they wouldn't even get to them until after August 1 anyway.

One of my distributors is waiting to fax my stuff on Aug 1 so no paperwork will be needed. It's ok with me. 1 week vs 2 weeks snail mail in problem status is worth the wait.

And the State sent me about 100 State forms from as far back as Feb. yesterday. All were signed and dated 6/17/2013 or older.
No wonder nothing ever got done.................

Louisiana residents no longer need to get state approval for Class 3 items starting Aug. 1.

I mean its only a week if they are holding them. Seems trivial in the overall wait time.

I agree. I was more concerned about submitting forms at the beginning of this month. I had some form 3's that were submitted July 2nd. Waiting would have added another month to the already ridiculous wait and then there is probably a lot of people waiting to submit forms on August 1st so that may slow our examiner down even further.
