I was reading the thread "Can you protect others " as I read I put myself in that position...In no way would I want to pull a gun in that enviroment of chaos. I would be just another gunner to anyone running and screaming. I never gave a badge much thought until now. Maybe a CCP badge could have a place in carry. If used for the right reasons. I think a CCP badge if carried should be just as important in concealment as the weapon. Think about this...If you get attacked and need to use deadly force. What would happen after that? The cops would be all over you with loaded weapons and scared ichy fingers, cause you just shot a guy to them. What if they get to the scene and see a person with a badge? It could ease the issue a bit. I know I wouldnt want to be face down with loaded ready to fire weapons pointed at me until they resolve the issue. Just a thought

If a cop is there to see your weapon, you probably shouldn't have been the one doing the shooting. Put your weapon safely away before
    the cops show up.

...and call. How the cops act when they arrive will have a lot to do with what the dispatcher tells them is going on.

obviously the whole badge thing has the wannabe cop/douche factor associated. OTOH if I am trying to save lives in a mall shooting I don't want to be mistaken as BG #3. my solution is pink mousketeer ears or a tinfoil beenie. Too retarded to want to wear/pose with, but visible and welcome when 12 cops scramble on the scene, guns drawn.
