Duno if this is better for survival or training? Both? Probably. Mods, feel free to move it accordingly please.

I'm curious to see how your Load bearing vest, chest rig, belt, or vest is set up and why. Post a pic, descriptive list of contents, and a brief explanation if you feel it is necessary.

    Lets see um!

I don't have a photo handy but I train/run/hog hunt with a Banshee PC. I have a Magpul MS3 strung through it w/3 single mag pouches. I also run a bladder and/or a radio pouch on the rear. With my multi-hit VTG plates, mags, and radio it runs 23lbs.

Throughout nearly all of the training classes I have been a student of or assisted, chest rigs and thigh rigs rain king. They weight far less and breath better. I choose a P/C to carry plates, simple.

Last class I ran a milsurp web belt with crap hanging off. Worked ok. I need some new AR mag pouches though. The $4 milsurp dump pouches worked fine. The Serpa holster (with the lock ripped off) worked alright but I couldn't see using it in the real world.

Just so you understand, the economy war belt works fine for classes but the way I see it if things really go south then I'll be carrying a backpack. A belt just doesn't haul enough survival gear/ food/ ammo / etc.

I use a VTAC/TYR Brokos Belt with the Cobra Belt. And the pistol and rifle magazine pouches I use are the HSGI Taco pouches. The Taco work really well. They hold retention really well if you are moving around/running/getting up off the ground. But it is very easy to remove magazines when you need them.

I have a plate carrier and plates but it's slick right now.

My suggestion is a belt. The VTAC cobra/brokos set up is our best seller. Go to a few classes first with a holster and a mag carrier and see what others are running.

I have a 5.11 brokos with maverick belt to support it currently. It has 2 ar pouches and 2 pistol pouches, dump bag and a 6x6 pouch too. Also have a my 19 tlr1 combo in a safariland equipped with a qls system.

And no thats not how the holster is attatched lol. Its on the belt loop attatchment woven through correctly now.
The Hsgi taco pouches are appealing. Anyone stock them close to the 504 area?

What do you keep in the non-ammo pouches?

I'm no operator, but I don't like the padded belt setups at all. That looks like it would ride up.

Less is more guys. All that crap gets heavy.

rcm19212345, lose that paddle on your holster. When I see a paddle holster, I see derp. Safariland makes a system to attach that holster to a molle belt. Look into that. You need your holster secured to that belt. I could snatch that from you very easily.

I think they carry HSGI at the range in St Bernard. I thought I saw some pics on their FB or something.
