I have heard, probably through BS, that NOPD will roll down streets with a license plate reader and when your car comes up as having unpaid violations the city will have goons boot your car until the fines are paid. Something to consider if you visit/live in the chocolate city.

Yeah, you're pretty much SOL in the NO.

I got one of those in the mail from Gretna.
Speeding on the Westbank Expressway.
Picture was not one of my vans and none
of em were within sixty miles of Gretna.
License plate was close, but mine had preceeding zeros.
I called and told em they had a wrong number.
They said they'd look into it; never heard back.

True story, used to work on poydras, happened to me cost $265 and then I had to return the boot back to them.
