Cheapest way to decrease AR trigger pull

I love my AR, but I'm used to my hunting rifles that I have had trigger work done on. I like a 2.5 pound trigger with very little creep. I know I can buy a Timney or Jard, but I was wondering how much help Wolf xtra power springs would help. Or polishing the contact surfaces?

Check out Bil Springfield at www.triggerwork.net I believe he can make your stock trigger a 3lb. Pull for $50. He has a couple options and does good work at least from reviews I have read.

Get a set of JP Enterprise springs. They sell as a set to replace the factory hammer, trigger, sear springs. They are painted yellow for ID purposes. Around $12 or so from Brownells.

the cheapest way is to do the 15 minute trigger job yourself, and cost $0. Might not be the best way, but that's not what you asked

I feel your pain. I am in the same situation because I just ordered the 517.
