checking on status of cwp

Hi , I was wondering if someone can give me some info ? It has been slightly over two months since I applied for my concealed carry permit , I thought I had saw someone posted a ph# to call and check to see if it has been rejected or still being procecessed at the lsp . Can someone please let me know that number so I can call , thanks

I am going to call on mine also. I mailed mine off on Dec. 21st and still nothing.

Please post your results. I called on mine at 4 weeks plus 3 days and was told to expect another 30 days. 7 weeks today, still waiting.

I just called and was told my permit was printed and will be mailed Friday , probably along with others seems they do them in batches .

I called again and got some very interesting info. My app was input on Feb 25th, four weeks and one day after I mailed it on January 27th! Four weeks just to get it into the computer! Apparently there is such a flood of apps they can't keep up.

The State Police office is apparently swimming in apps, backlogged like a one armed painter and the ladies who answer the phone are still the nicest gov employees I've ever encountered. They should give lessons.

if you were military, divorced...etc it takes longer.

I recently got mine, it took 6 weeks to the day, if it helps i called and she said it would mail on that friday and it came the next day.

The LSP CHP Unit website says there's a staff opening. Has Sgt. Starnes left or been reassigned?

Ive heard lately its taking 40-50 days......They are trying to catch up but the in coming is by far higher than the out going.I was told they meet on fridays to run the weeks apps ,they approve or deny at a meeting every friday....I do not know how accurate this is,its what I was told by a deputy in Br w/LSP.......

Don't know about Sgt. Starnes I think I rememeber LSP posting that he as a sick child maybe he had to take off.

Just called, my app was approved on the 9th. She said I should have it by Tues or Wed.

my 3rd time renewing packet was mailed in Nov by cert mail (with no errors), it took 4 months, they are way behind, and they process renewals first, so anyone with renewals, you better start early

Got my permit in yesterday. Now I am just waiting on my holster now.

When I turned in my Packet at LSP headquarters they told me it was 3-4 weeks if you turned in your packet when getting your prints done, and 8 weeks if you mailed it in with a fingerprint card. The digital prints really speed up the process for them, and I believe they keyed in my packet while I was there.

One of my fingerprints was rejected and it took all of 15 seconds to take another print, that would have been a few week process if I would have mailed it in.
