CHP stopped me on Sunday and.............

Wellllll.....technically it was a little white Saturn that decided to pass a big rig while I was in the oncoming lane that stopped me on Red Mountain in Colorado, but I needed to stay consistent with TDH's cop bashing thread.

Getting looked over by EMS and Para's...

The trooper was cool, calm, and amazed at how I appeared to have no major injuries. I let him know that the pistol laying in the open side case was mine and I had a concealed carry permit for it and I'll be damned if he didn't go nuts, he didn't disassemble it, and really didn't pay much mind to it. I know.......I know......it's a rare thing for a cop to be cool headed, but all he said was "You leave yours where it is, and I'll leave mine where it is and we can all be friends." We laughed and that was that. After all the paperwork was filed and the vehicles were loaded on wreckers he even came over and we talked for a bit about shooting and such.


Ohhh yea, the bike's totaled and the car didn't fare much better. For those of you who ride, ALWAYS.....ALWAYS....wear good gear!! I walked away because of it.

I did a flip over the car and landed on my back on the highway behind it. A rider should never bail off of a motorcycle on purpose.

That cop was out of line by not drawing down on your ass since it is his job to make sure you weren't a psycho killer with a real firearm on you! According some some, he should have had you in his cross hairs.
