CMP Ammo

I hope everyone that needed ammo already put in their order with the CMP - they are officially sold out of 30-06, .30 carbine, and .22. My .30 carbine order got in but will be 6 - 12 months before it comes in. Glad i picked up a few cases of 30-06 at the South Store last month.

SOLD OUT - EFFECTIVE 9-28-09 Orders in house will be filled.

2 years ago, they were talking about having 6,000,000 rounds of Greek M-2 and that we would be shooting it at the Garand Matches for the foreseeable future. This year, they shot Hornady at the Nationals. Pretty unbelievable.

My biggest regret concerning 30-06 ammo is not buying a truckload of the Danish M2. It was fantastic shooting ammo.

I heard from someone in the know that here is plenty of Greek ammo left, but that the backorder situation is such that they had to do something to stop new orders until they could catch up. Sounds plausible.

thats what I'm talking about! Wonder what the price will increase to this time? Guess only time will tell.

They are also supposed to get 175,000 bayonets.

I thought they banned bayonets because of all the drive by bayonetting? I guess now that the Nobel Peace prize is coming we no longer do drive by bayonetting so there you go. Do we need a NICS check to get one? Advice: Don't sharpen a bayonet if you are going to carry it concealed. If you make a fast draw from your waist ban you may have unintentional consequences.
