How much do you think it /actually/ matters to the State they left, that gun manufacturers are leaving? If the State is generally anti-gun, would they really regret seeing a gun maker leave? I mean, isn't that just as likely to be seen as a victory for them? Even if you consider that they are sometimes manufacturers that supply the military/government (the only people anti-gunners think should have guns, if anyone at all) they would likely still be happy the gun companies are doing it 'elsewhere' rather than in their backyard. Just as they are happy to have someone unseen and out-of-sight doing their dirty work for them (civil services, military services, cleaning their waste, and all other 'dirty jobs') I think they'd be just as happy to not have the manufacturers of dirty, icky, evil weaponry, be equally out of sight, out of mind.

Becuase politicians don't get it right more often than not. Does a sane person REALLY believe that 90% of Americans want stricter gun controls? Only about 80% of Americans can even read.

Right now I think they care because of the scarcity of jobs. Better times, maybe not, but now, in our economy, I think they care.

Well in States that the companies are fleeing from, yea, most of them are pretty strongly pro-gun-control, but I guess it would be a leap to say there is a majority that is completely opposed to guns completely (outside .gov)

But it is quite valid that the politicians are not on the side of the majority of the people, case in point; Illinois.

Could it be because Elmer Fudd the Farmer thinks that gun control only apllies to our evil black rifles or our concealed carry permits?
