Sure the Peter Schiff thing is a straw man setup and knockdown, but it resonates because the Democrats, by their own admissions and actions, do not believe in free market capitalism. Given their way, the economic system that has fueled America would be overthrown.

The Democratic Party has been taken over by the Socialist. They've been working on the takeover for some time. Instead of starting their own political party, they have found this path to power was possible. They could never win elections by revealing their true agenda, so they took over the established Democratic Party. Some of them are now embolden to reveal their real goals. Likewise, the Conservatives/Libertarians (Tea Party) need to complete the takeover of the Republican Party and begin to push back and then defeat the Socialist/Democratic Party. Let the battle begin (it has)! This November is the second "battle;" the 2010 Midterms being the first.
