First camping trip planned.

Easter weekend my wife, daughter and myself are going to do a 2 night stay at Tickfaw State Park. To my surprise all Improved campgrounds were already reserved. So we'll have to rough it on the unimproved site. Water only, no electricty (oh noes!) ha ha. No big deal. Looking forward to the 2 day excursion. Just hope I can have that Pirouge finished for when we go.

Tickfaw allways stays booked up. You have to call three months ahead to get a spot.

Well bummer... Just got a phone call regarding our reservations. Due to the high water levels of the Tickfaw they have closed the tent camping sites until Friday. There is no garuntee that they will reopen on Friday either. So they offered to let us transfer our reservations to another State Park. So now we'll be going to Fairview-Riverside State Park near Mandeville. Does anyone have any experiences at this park?
