Here's a less than funny story. In 1992-93 era I was not yet of age to buy a handgun, yet I'd saved the money. A Taurus PT-101 and earliest gen Glock 17L were the same price at the ol' Wal Mart in Gretna - $310. My dad, necessary for paperwork, enforced the Taurus as he didn't trust a plastic pistol and thought I'd regret that purchase.
