So, Gun collection... Hobby or addiction?

I'm only on my third firearm, and I'm already planning for number 4! I have talked to a bunch of people who seem to be in the same position as I am in with this little hobby. Marksmanship is fun, but damn this whole thing is addictive!

So... how bad is your "hobby"? How many guns do you have and what are we talking about?

For me, I'm up to: Remington 870, Glock 17, Smith & Wesson Model 37. But I'm doing research on AR15's, hunting shotguns, as well as looking to buy a Glock 26.

G26, G17, and an AR. If I hadnt sold the P220 to the gf I'd be on 4. Next up will either be another AR or a walther P22 plinker.

    might we say...obsession?
    ;)

Instead of thinking.." what gun is next, I usually think...which guns are next?

Do I need to build up my mil-surp collection?.... or do I need to increase the number of assault rifles/pistols...or should I get some of those new magnum rifles for whitetails... or maybe just a couple of plinkers? You'd think I'm made of money, at least that is what my wife thinks I think!

    I just like my toys.

I like spike's lowers with his normal spider logo... My next gun will likely be on an essential arms lower since I can get them locally. If not them, possibly a Superior Arms, they are going for a great price

They like fleas. Once you get one, the others just seem to follow. 12 and counting.
I have hunting guns, mainly deer riffles. But why is it that I always seem to use the same ugly, beat up, heavy rifle every time? I fear that all the others are becoming "safe queens". Oh,well. Got 3 rugrats growing up fast, I'm sure they'll latch on to something.

What may start out as a hobby turns into an addiction soon after getting hooked. Damn near as bad as crack and can be just as expensive.

Started out just a few years ago, and I now have three over-flowing safes. I have guns tucked in behind guns, and there's still more that I would like. I haven't even begun collecting on the American side of mil-surp.

Get an 03FFL and you can start your the collecting on the cheap side, but watch out, as that can get expensive too.

ADDICTION definately gets my vote. Always looking for my next fix.
