Help with Mounting Eotech on AR

I just purchased this Eotech and did not consider the length of the battery compartment. I want to keep my BUIS , but when mounting the Eotech back towards the buis it is difficult to adjust the sight, but also moving it forward on the rail you have the batter compartment over the hand guard. I think this looks a little tacky, what are some good solutions to clean this up?

that's how they fit. Only option is a shorter eotech or one with controls on side. I forget the model numbers offhand.

What's wrong with tacky? The way you have it mounted in the pic is correct.

I agree with this as well. It is on there correct. It just looks different then normal because you are using MOE hand-guards.
