They do have women on the rigs. Not sure about that rig but it is a federal lease and minority quotas apply.

Minority quotas have nothing to do with it. We had a few women working there, but it was not mandatory.

I never said they did. Just answered a question. When I worked offshore (1980's) there were women out there. There were Federal quotas because the leases were Federal.

If the rig has the voice recording capabilities, where are the recordings? Did the recording device burn and sink?

They lost 8 hours of data leading up to the explosion. Dunno if it is on a 12 hour schedule or what, but they didn't have the latest data.
