i know this is prob never going to happen but im looking for a well made 1911 chambered in 9mm or .40.
Really? 40S&W 1911's are few and far between. Springfield made them quite a few years back. STI and custom smiths make them now. The 40 1911 HAD a problem with magazines. There are plenty of 9mm and 40 cal 1911s out there.
Para is now producing a 40S&W 1911. The P-16 is NOT a 1911.Have you looked at Para Ordnance? I have a P16-40 Limited 40 S&W that's fun to shoot with its 16 round capacity.

I have a STI HiCap in 40 but it ain't a 1911 either, it's a 2011.Not in the true sense ... But
The P14.45 (a.k.a. P16.40 and P18.9) is a 5" pistol, using a standard Government-size slide and barrel, and it has a Government height frame (uses a Government model MSH).
Buying a 1911 in 9mm is like buying a 72 Dodge Charger with a 4 cyl. Sure... it's good on gas. but thats not what the Charger was built for.
This is the most important thing about a 1911. The ammo needs to fill the mag, front to back. Most issues with 9mm or 40S&W 1911's are caused because the ammo is loaded too short.1911s like the 23mm bullets more than 19mm .
