I'm OK with a business giving employees different holidays.

What good is Christmas to a Jew? Labor day? So what...we work every day, if they want to call it something else to make the majority of their employees feel like they have some kind of meaning to the company...sure, go for it. The employees are still getting off.

I don't care if they call a Holiday "Take a shower, twat, day"...as long as they give me the day off a few times a year.

Here is his response : Mardi Gras is not a religious holiday it is a Louisiana tradition as it is in other parts of the world especially Brazil.

They are the majority at that plant and their union saw to it that the majority got what they wanted. I don't see this as a big deal. I thought this country supported the rights of individuals and encouraged these types of things. There is no reason in my eyes to boycott Tyson.

Louisiana Law states that corporations have to make accommodations for those that want weapons in their vehicles. This is what the majority of our elected officials voted for. The Louisiana legislature is in a whole different league than a meat processing plant's labor union.
