WBRZ NEWS has confirmed that Louis Lambert has withdrawn from the runoff for district attorney of the 23rd Judicial District which covers Ascension Parish.
It was a difficult decision, Lambert told WBRZ, but he felt it was in the best interest of the parish.
Lambert told WBRZ he had a conversation this morning with his opponent in the runoff, Ricky Babin, and was pleased with the direction Babin plans to take the District Attorney's office.
Lambert added that the conversation was cordial and he wishes Babin the best. Babin confirmed the conversation.
