Hi I am looking for loads for a 1911 single stack. Major using 200 gr. jacket bullets. I tried VVN320 but found that it does not work well as the rounds are so far apart. I used 231 years ago and may try that. i want a clean burning and meters well.Let me know what works for you. Thanks. L2100uspsa@yahoo.com

When I was reloading a bunch years ago, I switched to Win powders just for the consistant metering of the Ball Powders. I also preferred to limit the number of powders, so chose the formulas that could handle various ammo. I used 231 for non-mag pistol, 296 for mags, 748? for small rifle, and 760? for large rifle. Those 4 took care of everything I reloaded. I wasn't reloading any magnum rifle rounds.

yes I think i found one that i like . I tryed 7.5 OF WSF with a 185 it made around a 174 PF and was a lil snappy. I think i will try 6.9 0F WSF with a 230 RN JHP next. WSF really works well and shots are very close. I will try 231 next if now happy with that.
