I gave him Todd's info too, he's really looking to have it re-blued I think though and wasn't sure if Todd did that. I told him that the finishes these day look great and are more protective but I think he wants it to look original.
Who Ever does the re blue job make sure they hand polish and do not use wheels! Eduardo would be one of the fellows that hand polishes guns. When I graduated gunsmith school 32 years ago Eduardo was around then. There are not too many old school smiths left around here. And then there are the "TV" gunsmiths that I will not comment on as I will not comment on any "National Treasures"..Can't loose with Eduardo for a professional job
Bill Bertholat (sp?) in Slidell did a superb job on a parts 1911 my dad built. Cost just under 90 bucks (a couple years ago) and the bluing was amazing.
