I've searched online but can't find anything recent about it. Has anyone ever mailed an upper to someone? What carrier did you use? And mailing ammo as well. I know it has to be mailed separately. Thanks yall

No special carrier needed for an upper since there is no serial number involved. I had one recently sent to me thru USPS, no problems. Ammo is a whole 'nother animal, need the proper labels, UPS makes you take it to a hub to ship it, not sure on Fed-Ex, USPS won't ship it to my knowledge.

Right ammo is a pain in the butt, special labels and only ups and only a ups hub… not a ups store or drop off….Upper who ever is cheaper

Insure it but for a upper use USPS with the triangle boxes very economical

Ammo is would bring to a shipper. Like others said has be labeled and Ground service I believe

Like the others have said, uppers are easy since there's no regulation (yet). It's just a pipe in a box. I'd recommend using Pirate Ship or Shippo for significantly better prices than you'd get walking in off the street.

Unless you're getting a great price on a ton of ammo, it might not be worth the hassle. Remember UPS price is based on weight.

I'm on the North Shore too and can help you with all this if you want, I do it all the time and get decent rates on USPS/UPS. Shoot me a pm if you need a wingman.

Use a triangular box and wrap the upper in bubble wrap well. Add add extra reinforcement to the muzzle end of the barrel or you may have the barrel sticking out of the end of the box when it is delivered. Ask me how I know!

    Somewhere nice
Upper is not a gun, so no legal issues with shipping it using any carrier. Just package it well (and discretely) to prevent theft/tampering/damage and insure it.
