I have a Mosin Nagant I got from my buddy at Brothers LA Arms in Hammond. I just took it to Bedico Creek finally after a year of it gathering dust in my closet and it looks like the scope and mount that came with it is not suitable for the kick back that the rifle has. The mount is a short picatinny rail that replaces the slide sight but still uses the same mount point, so it is affixed to the rifle with a bolt and nut through the front hole and that is it, the rest of the mount is simply levelling screws that hold it in place, but not very well. I got the thing sighted in at 25M but once I moved out to 50M it went off the rails...I mean it didn't fall off...it just lost it's adjustments.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can use? I will post pics here to give you some frame of reference...

Wish it was a Hex receiver I could fix you up. I’m a fan of Rock Solid mounts for those.
Try Bad Ace Tactical. I think they have a real decent scout mount that uses the entire sight deck. A scout scope on a rifle like that can be a godsend. I encourage folks to try that setup on some of the old Mausers as well. Loading stays easy and you can use the stock straight bolt handle. I know it seems goofy but the change in position makes a lot of sense on some rifles and I found shooting them with the long eye relief scope further ahead works better with a both eyes open shooter. I usually mount red dots about midway between the irons on an AR for the same reason. The reticle or dot is superimposed better on the target and the tube nearly disappears.

Here it is. I’d go with the steel over aluminum.
