I recently bought a PAP M92 AK pistol. Since the hadguards come unfinished I removed them to stain. In order to remove them, you have to flip a lever 180 degrees (to the direction in the picture below).
To put the handguards back on, you have to flip that lever 180 degrees in the opposite direction. The lever WILL NOT BUDGE! I'm pretty sure there is a metal splinter stuck in there that is preventing it from rotating. I even gave it to a friend who's better at these things than me and he had no luck. I'm wondering if there is any reason why I can't fire the gun without that lever being in the right direction? If anyone knows of any gunsmiths in the Covington area if you would let me know a name and number that would be greatly appreciated. Brand new gun and I can't even take it to the range yet
