Just wondering if anyone had anything older than this one. 1896 dated Tula M91, still has the eagles, along with some pretty rare Finnish markings. They only used the "puolustuslaitos" mark for about 2 weeks in 1942.

I have an 1873 dated 1873 Trapdoor Springfield in working condition (not that I have fired it in 30 years). I will dig it out for a picture someday.

    Baton Rouge... Mostly
If we are counting just functional guns (I've got a Frontstuffer shotgun I need to refinish and repair)
My 91 is also a 1896, My Colt SAA is from the 3rd year of production (Wasn't that 1876?)
And I have not yet dated my S&W #3.

The first 2 are shooters, (Not shooters, but they shoot... I've fired 25 rounds through the SAA)

the #3 seems to be functional, but I have no interest in it and will be selling it.

...the first "official" weapon of the US Armed Forces. This one was made around 1812 and is completely functional and could be fired safely.

Now that is what I call C&R. Very nice. I think there is a Mississippi Rifle laying around at my dad's house, but I am pretty sure it doesn't fire. It may be earlier than that. Been a long time since i have seen it.

I have a 1776 Flintlock. Missing lock. .69 i think (greatly reduces the value). Post some pics when I can. It may be French, not sure.
