I read yesterday that the TSA will start requiring passports at La airports. This, apparently, because Louisiana did not go along with "real ID."

Seems to me that all we have to do is declare each Louisiana airport a polling place and the democrats will make sure no ID of any kind is needed.

TSA is one of the dumbest government agencies that has ever existed.

Last time I flew within the US I showed them a TWIC Card as form of ID and I was told unless I could provide them with a "REAL" form of ID I would not be able to board the plain .............

Wait...TWIC cards are issued by TSA! They don't consider their own ID good enough?

Not according to the supervisor I dealt with at the Houston Airport, even though it says issued by US Government in the back he said its not on the list so its not legit.

Maybe you should start carrying this with you........

I'm having trouble as well. All I'm finding are generic stories about Jan 15, 2013 being the drop dead date. It's been deferred several times. This crap goes back to 2008 so it's really GWB's fault. But I cannot find a specific. I swear I read it in The Advocate but I cannot find it.

Too much trouble to "train" them, they take the CHP as an accepted form of ID, even though I agree with you.

On a recent flight to Montana out of MSY I presented my La. Driver's License, which BTW; had the silly little expiration sticker on the back that had faded to an illegible state. The TSA guy was from Kentucky and he asked if I had any other form of ID. When I presented the CHP, he gave me the knowing glance and told me to have a great flight.

I did explain to him that Louisiana had issued me that sticker the last time I renewed my DL; instead of re-issuing a new card. He thanked me for letting him in on this?!? :eek3:

How do they not know this stuff?
