    Baton Rouge... Mostly
So.... With 2 artificial discs in my neck....

I'm wondering if I'll be shooting big bores again.
    I've got a couple 50's, then there's shotguns....

I haven't started PT yet, and I know a clearer picture will develop... ButI'm not expecting them to know about recoil.

I don't think shooting .50 rifles after spinal surgery is a really good idea.

I also don't think shooting any firearm is a good idea while taking any kind of pain medicine.

What does your physician say? You may have a PT who shoots and they may be able to answer your question.

I have problems shooting .40 with bursitis and calcified rotor cuff....I can only imagine how hard it may to shoot big bore cals after spinal surgery. 30 cals are my friend as of late.....less painful.

I don't think anyone can know until you get there.... If you can, great, if you can't, then maybe you'll have to look into shooting those fast, flat cartridges that don't have a lot of recoil. Still lots of fun to be had.

Glad that you made it through surgery. I still have a rear sight for you. :o
