Shrimp season, anyone fishing this week?

Where is a good place to stay in Grand Isle one that I can walk to the beach with my little boy....

If you got a family member with a Camper Trailer or an RV we can all go to the State Park.

I don't know about that...I think I'm gonna make it a family weekend trip!!

There's not much of a "wilderness" down there in Grand Isle and an RV far closer to home than camping in a tent will ever be. fwiw.

There's room or cabins to rent at Bridgeside. Only wilderness is seagulls, crabs, fish and the occasional toolulu.

but where is bridgeside is it close to the so call beach?

In case you haven't been made aware of it, they placed some temporary fishing restrictions off HWY23 from Mile Marker 23 down towards the Buras area. They're killing off a Talapia infestation, anyone caught with fishing gear in the quarantine zone is gonna get hammered. Check out LDWF for more info.

Bridgeside is right on the side of the Grand Isle bridge. Walking distant to the beach. They do have a couple or camps to rent right on the beach.

This picture was taken right after Katrina. It's alot nicer now.
